Squalane

Squalane

100% Plant Derived. Protects skin from moisture loss and provides a shield from environmental toxins. Reduce wrinkles, eliminate scars, reverse UV damage, lightens freckles and reduce skin pigmentation while fighting free radicals.

Squalene

Naturally occurring in our own bodies, it is among the most common lipids produced by human skin cells, making up approximately 10 percent of our sebum. On the skin’s surface it acts as a barrier, both protecting the skin from moisture loss and shielding the body from environmental toxins. We use Non-shark Squalene extracted from olives. It is ‘100% plant-derived,’ or ‘vegetable based Squalene”. The body’s Squalane levels start declining when we’re in our 20s. Applying nourishing Squalane will lubricate skin’s surface and can help achieve a softer texture and smoother appearance sans greasiness. The lightweight, odorless liquid also has antibacterial properties. Over time, using Squalane can reduce wrinkles, eliminate scars, reverse UV damage, lighten freckles and erase skin pigmentation while fighting free radicals. It’s an antioxidant-rich, age-fighting ingredient. Because it mimics our body’s own natural moisturizers, it can rapidly penetrate the skin and is absorbed quickly and completely without any lingering residue.

Squalane vs. Squalene: Squalane is a hydrogenated version of Squalene that makes it more stable against oxidation when exposed to air.
